What Cecur Book is, and who has it

Publishing a link that shows when you are free, where the screens are, and how it is switched on.

Last updated

Cecur Book publishes a link showing the times you are actually free. A client opens it, picks a day and a time, fills in a short form, and the meeting is in your diary. Nobody exchanges four emails about Tuesday afternoon.

Where it is

Bookings in the menu down the left. Every screen in it carries the same four tabs across the top:

  • Overview, where you land: what is next, what is coming, your booking links and whether your setup is finished.
  • Schedule, your diary as a calendar or a list.
  • Booking links, the meetings people can book with you.
  • Availability, the hours those links offer.

Two more screens sit under Settings, Scheduling: Calendars, for showing Cecur Book your own diary, and Scheduling defaults, where you claim your booking address.

If Bookings is not in your menu

Cecur Book is switched on company by company. Where your company does not have it, the row is simply not there, and typing the address yourself reaches a page saying so with a Contact support button on it. Press that and ask, and we will set it up.

When it is switched on, everybody at your company gets it. There is no second permission to grant per person: anyone with an account can publish their own link and take bookings.

What each person keeps

Your booking address, your booking links, your working hours and your calendar connection are yours. A colleague's are theirs. Nobody sees the meetings in your diary unless you or an owner or an admin shares it, which is covered in Letting a colleague see your diary.

What it takes to be bookable

Two things, and a third that is optional:

  1. A booking address. Claimed once, on Settings, Scheduling defaults. See Your booking address and your booking links.
  2. Working hours. Set on Availability. You are started off with an ordinary working week, so this is usually a case of adjusting rather than building. See Setting the hours people can book.
  3. A calendar connection, which is optional and worth reading about before you decide either way. See Showing Cecur Book your own calendar.

The Booking setup panel on Overview shows where you are with all three.

What your client needs

Nothing. No account, no password, no app. They open a web page, choose a time, and get an email.
