Signing in to your account

How to sign in, what to do if you cannot, and how your account relates to the rest of Cecur.

Last updated

Go to the sign-in page and press Continue with SSO. There is no separate password box in CecurSign. Your identity is held by Cecur, the account you use for every Cecur product, and pressing that button hands you over to it and brings you back.

Your CecurSign account and your Cecur account

One sign-in serves every Cecur product you use. That is convenient, and it has one consequence worth knowing: being able to sign in does not by itself mean you have been given CecurSign. Access is granted per person, per product.

If you sign in and land on a page headed This account does not have access to CecurSign, your credentials were accepted and no CecurSign user is attached to them. The page shows the address you arrived with, under Signed in as. Read it carefully. It is very often not the address the invitation went to.

If you are on the no access page

Check the address first. Because all Cecur products share one sign-in, you can be signed in automatically as someone you are for something else. If the address shown is not the one your colleague invited, press Sign in with a different account and use the right one. Going back to the ordinary sign-in button will not help here, because it will quietly reuse the account you are trying to leave.

If the address is right, you need an invitation. An owner or an administrator at your company adds you from Settings, then People. Ask them to invite exactly the address on that page. Once they have, sign in again.

If you use Cecur for other things, press See your Cecur apps to get back to everything else on your account.

If you never reach the sign-in page at all

Try the address again in a private or incognito window. That rules out a stale session in your browser without you having to clear anything.

If your company uses a network filter or a strict ad blocker, allow the CecurSign address and try once more. The sign-in handover happens in the browser, so anything that blocks a redirect will stop it.

Signing in has nothing to do with signing a document

If you have been sent a document to sign, you do not need an account and you should not be on the sign-in page at all. Open the link in the email you were sent and you will land straight on the document. See What your recipients see.

Changing your details

Your name and your saved signature are under Settings, then Profile and My signatures. Your email address is shown there and is set centrally, alongside your sign-in. Plans, payment details and invoices are held in Cecur Home rather than in CecurSign, so change those from there with the same sign-in.

Still stuck

If the address is right, an administrator has invited it, and sign-in still fails, raise a ticket from Support inside CecurSign and include the exact address you are using and the wording of anything you see on screen.
