What happens when you reach a limit
Nothing is charged automatically. There is no per-envelope overage and no surprise line on your invoice, so your bill cannot move unless you ask it to. When you reach the envelope or proposal limit on your plan, sending pauses and we tell you which plan carries the volume you are actually using.
Your allowance resets at the start of each billing period, and moving up a tier applies straight away. If you have had an unusual month rather than a new normal, tell us and we will sort it out rather than sell you a bigger plan you do not need.

Questions about plans and billing
What counts as an envelope?
An envelope is a single signing request, which can contain several documents and several recipients. A five-document onboarding pack sent to one person is one envelope, not five.
What happens if I run out of envelopes?
Sending pauses until your next billing period, and we tell you which plan covers the volume you are using. We never charge per envelope over the limit, so your bill cannot go up without you choosing it. Upgrading applies straight away and releases anything waiting, and on Professional and Business there is a volume pack you can add for a single month if you would rather do that than change plan.
Does a signed proposal use up an envelope?
No. A proposal is counted once, when you send it. When your client accepts, the engagement letter goes out for signature without spending anything from your envelope allowance, so accepting never costs you twice.
Can I change plans?
Yes. An upgrade applies straight away, so the extra allowance is there as soon as you need it. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep the plan you are on until then.

Yes. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and the current plan terms are shown before you confirm.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard and American Express through Stripe.
Are signatures legally binding?
Electronic signatures are recognised in the UK under UK eIDAS and the Electronic Communications Act 2000, and in Ireland under EU eIDAS. What matters when something is questioned is evidence: who signed, when, from where, and that the document has not changed since. That is what the audit trail and certificate are for.
