Where each kind of envelope appears
Why the list shows what you sent, and how to see proposal signatures and your own beside it.

Envelopes shows what you composed and sent yourself. Two other things also produce a signed document, and both are kept out of that list until you ask for them: the signature behind an accepted proposal, and a document you signed on your own. The dropdown reading Sent as envelopes, above the table, is where you ask.
The four options
- Sent as envelopes is the default. Documents you built and sent to somebody.
- Signed via a proposal shows the signature behind each accepted proposal.
- Signed by me shows documents you signed alone on the Self sign screen.
- Everything shows all three together.
The tiles above the table follow the same choice, so the counts always describe the rows underneath them.
Why the default is narrower than everything
Both of the hidden kinds already have a better home. An accepted proposal is one deal, and its own page carries the fees, the letter and the signature together, so listing it a second time under Envelopes turns one deal into two rows. A document you signed alone was never sent to anybody, and it sits on the Self sign screen where you made it.
Neither is deleted, hidden from you, or treated differently in the record. Each keeps its own audit trail and certificate of completion, and each is reachable in one click from the list once you change the filter.
Finding one of them quickly
- An accepted proposal's signature. Open the proposal and go to its Document tab. See The signing record on a proposal.
- A document you signed yourself. Open Self sign in the menu. See Signing a document on your own.
- From the list. Set the dropdown to the one you want, or to Everything.
What it does to your allowance
Only the first kind is counted. An envelope you sent uses one of your monthly sends; the signature behind an accepted proposal does not, because the proposal was already counted, and a document you signed alone does not, because nothing was sent. See Allowances, and what happens when you reach one.

The source dropdown is one of four filters on this screen, and any of them can hide a row you are sure exists. See I cannot find an envelope I know exists.
