The certificate of completion
The evidence page attached to every finished document, and how to read it.

The certificate of completion is a separate PDF, issued once an envelope reaches a final state, that sets out who signed, when, from where, how each person reached the document, and every action recorded against it. An envelope is the bundle you sent: the documents, the people and the fields. Download it from the envelope's page, under Evidence and downloads, from the row named Certificate of completion.
What is on it
The front page carries the CecurSign name, the heading Certificate of completion, the status,
the subject line you wrote, your company name, the completion date, a summary of the signers, a QR
code marked Scan to verify and, beside it, the Public verification reference. That
reference is the envelope's identifier, and it is what anyone types into
the verification page.
Envelope information repeats the reference and lists the subject, the status and the created, sent and completed times.
Documents names each file with its page count and a fingerprint of the file as it was uploaded.
Signers and recipients gives each person their name, email address, role and status, the times they viewed and signed, the IP address recorded against their signing, and a plain sentence saying how they reached the document. Where you set an access code it reads that an access code set by the sender was entered correctly before the document was shown. Where you did not, it says the link was a unique single use link with no additional challenge. It never dresses one up as the other.
Audit-chain verification is a box holding the result of recomputing the record, and one sentence saying exactly what that result covers. Where the record has been independently timestamped, the sentence names the authorities that did it and says which point in the record they attested to. Where it has not, the sentence says that every time shown is CecurSign's own server clock with no third party corroboration. That sentence is generated from the actual state of that envelope, so it cannot flatter it.
The audit trail then lists every event in order, numbered, with its time, who acted, their IP address and its fingerprint. Where a machine acted rather than a person, the line names the integration, and a short glossary appears explaining the wording. The glossary is printed only when the trail actually uses it.
Signature details closes the document with each captured signature and how it was made.
Names are printed as they were given
The certificate reproduces names exactly as they were entered, accents and all. Irish, Polish, Czech, Romanian, Turkish and Hungarian spellings all come through intact, so a signer's name is not quietly altered on the one document that exists to say who signed.
What the certificate is worth
CecurSign produces a simple electronic signature, backed by an evidence record that is unusually strong for that class: a linked chain of every action, sealed so that changing one entry breaks every entry after it, and independently timestamped against several external authorities. We do not offer advanced or qualified signatures, and we do not embed a certificate inside the PDF, which is why a completed document opened in Acrobat shows no signature panel.
Stating that clearly is deliberate. The certificate is the exhibit, and an exhibit that claims more than it can show is worth less than one that claims exactly what it can.
It is issued, then issued again
The certificate is produced when the envelope reaches its final state. Once the record has been independently timestamped, a second certificate is issued carrying that fact, because the first one correctly said the timestamp had not yet happened. Both issues stay on the record. If you are holding an early copy, download it again from the envelope page for the later one.
The fuller set
The Evidence pack in the same panel is a ZIP containing the certificate, the original documents, the signed documents, the machine readable record of every event, the signature images and the raw timestamp tokens with a procedure for checking them independently. Send that if a counterparty or an insurer asks for everything.
