Getting the signed document
Where the finished PDF lives, who receives it, and how to download it.

The moment the last signer finishes, CecurSign builds the signed PDF and puts it on the envelope's own page under Documents, beside the file you uploaded. An envelope is the bundle you sent: the documents, the people and the fields. It is also emailed to everyone who was set to receive a copy.
Finding it in CecurSign
Open Envelopes from the sidebar and open the one you want. Under Documents each file now
appears twice: once badged Original and once badged Signed, with the word (Signed) added
to its name.
- View opens it in the browser.
- Download saves it.
- Where the envelope carried more than one file, Download all signed documents (combined PDF) gives you the lot as one document.
Who receives it by email
Each recipient has a Send copy of completed document setting on their card in the envelope wizard. Everyone with it ticked gets an email carrying links to view or download the finished file, and you get a separate notice of your own telling you the envelope is complete.
If a client says the completion email has not arrived, the checks are the same as for the original request. See My client says they never received the email.
What the signer sees
The confirmation page a signer lands on tracks the rest of the envelope on its own. Once everybody has finished it offers Download signed document, and it says plainly that the completion email is their lasting copy. There is nothing they need to keep open or come back to.
What is in the file
Every value people entered is written into the pages themselves: signatures, initials, dates, text, ticks and choices, each where you placed it. It is an ordinary PDF and it opens in whatever your client already uses.
Opened in Adobe Acrobat, a document from CecurSign shows no signature panel, and that is expected rather than a fault. CecurSign produces a simple electronic signature with a substantial evidence record kept alongside it, which is a deliberate choice and a different thing from embedding a certificate inside the file. The integrity check on every download
When the finished document is produced, CecurSign records a fingerprint of the exact bytes. Every time those bytes are served afterwards, to you, to a signer or to anyone following a link from a completion email, they are checked against that recorded value and refused if the two disagree. You therefore never receive a copy from us that differs from the one recorded at completion.
Keeping your own copy
Download the signed PDF into your own filing as soon as it lands, exactly as you would a returned paper contract. Two more items are worth taking with it, both from the Evidence and downloads panel on the same page:
- Certificate of completion, a PDF summarising who signed, when, and from where.
- Evidence pack, a ZIP holding the original documents, the signed documents, the certificate, the machine readable record and the signature images.
