What each plan includes

The differences that matter when you are choosing, in plain terms.

Last updated

Plans differ along two axes: how much you can send in a billing period, and which parts of CecurSign are switched on. The plans, their prices and every figure attached to them are on the pricing page. This article explains what those figures mean in practice, so you can tell which of them will actually decide it for you.

What you should look at first

Every plan does the core job in full. Uploading documents, placing fields, sending for signature, the signing page your recipients see, the signed PDF, the certificate of completion, the audit trail and public verification are on all of them. Nothing about the evidence behind a signature is better on a more expensive plan.

So the question is not what a plan can do. It is how much you send, how many colleagues need to be in the account, and whether you need any of the following.

What varies

Volume. The number of envelopes you may send in a billing period, and the number of proposals. An envelope is a document you sent for signature together with everyone who has to act on it, so one envelope covers a contract going to three signatories, not three. See Allowances, and what happens when you reach one.

People. How many colleagues can be in the account. Pending invitations count towards it.

Templates. How many reusable documents you can keep. This is a running total rather than something counted per period.

Custom branding. Your logo and your brand colour on the pages recipients see and the emails they receive. See Putting your branding on what clients see.

Bulk send. Sending one template to a list of recipients in a single run, one document each.

Analytics. The dashboard of how much you are sending, how quickly documents come back, and where they get stuck.

Proposals and engagement letters. Whether proposals are included, and how many you may send in a period, varies by plan. See Proposals and engagement letters.

Programmatic access. API keys and webhooks, for connecting CecurSign to another system. Our developer documentation covers what that involves.

Priority support. Where your tickets sit in the queue.

What your own account actually includes

Read this off your account rather than off a comparison table, because the two can legitimately differ. Settings › Billing & plan carries three panels worth reading in order:

  • Current plan names what you are on and when it renews.
  • Usage shows each meter against its limit for this period. Anything your plan does not cap is left out, so every row on it is a number you can run out of.
  • Available plans compares the capabilities of every tier, with your own marked as current.

A capability can also be enabled specifically for your account, above what your plan normally carries. If you believe that applies to you, ask us and we will confirm what is set: the account setting is the one that decides, not the comparison table.

Choosing

Most people choose on volume and on seats, and find the capabilities follow. If you are close to a decision, send for a month first and then read the Usage panel: it tells you what you actually consume, which is usually a different number from the one you would have guessed.

When you have decided, Upgrading, downgrading and cancelling covers the mechanics.
